Isocheck Resilient Bar
Isocheck Resilient/Decoupling Bar is a steel profile channel, usually used as a part of an acoustic insulation system, able to improve the acoustic performance of separating walls and floors. The bar is used to separate joisted floor or timber stud wall from the panel or plasterboard, thus reducing both impact and airborne sound transmission, allowing a less expensive floating floor to comply with the acoustic values prescribed by the Approved Document E of the Building Regulations. It is applicable to all types of conservations, refurbishments and new build applications, enhancing separating walls and ceilings.
The bar can easily be cut to the desired size by using a hacksaw and can be successfully combined with any of the following systems:
- Isocheck PRIMO & PRIMO HL Systems
- Isocheck 28T, 24T & 15T Systems
- Isocheck 32T System
- Isocheck Isowave Wall & Ceiling System 23
- Isocheck Phonewell System
- Econocheck Deep Batten System
- Isocheck 27C, 23C & 14C Systems
- Isocheck Re-Mat 3 & Re-Mat 5 Systems
- Econocheck XL5 and Econocheck XL8 Systems.
When installed in timber floors, in order of preventing the fixings from mechanically connecting plasterboards to structural timber, the bar should be installed at studs or timber joists right angles. When installed under concrete floors, timber battens should be fixed to the deck prior to fixing the bars to the battens.
