GypLyner ENCASE
GypLyner ENCASE is a structural steel encasement system applicable in any type of building that may require protection for beam and universal column sections, as well as portal frames and many joists sections. It offers a 180 minutes fire resistance and it is very easy to handle and install since being lightweight and easy to box out.
Certain consideration should be taken into account upon installation, including:
- the thickness of the cladding must be determined which includes determining whether all four sides need protection, determining the level of fire resistance and selecting the board type that is going to be used, upon referring to the relevant sections of the White Book;
- the cladding may require additional support in case flange dimension or steel section web exceed 600mm;
- for improving water and vapor resistance Gyproc FireLine DUPLEX treated with two coats of Gyproc Drywall Sealer can be used;
