GypLyner UNIVERSAL wall lining
Certain consideration should be taken into account upon installation, including:
- fixing brackets position shall determine the ceiling cavity depth, whereas abutting partitions must be installed before drylining;
- where vertical cavity barriers are required, which can be met by installing 12.5mm plasterboard fixed to the Gypframe GL1 Lining Channel;
- in order of improving thermal performance and reducing heat loss, junctions must be properly sealed and the background and abutting elements well fitted; in case of suspended timber floors, perimeter around it must also be air-tight, which can be achieved by adding a seal between walls and floors;
- services such as conduits and pips should be fixed before installing the framing, whereas cables covered with PVC must be adequately separated from any polystyrene insulation;
- lightweight fixtures such as single lights can be installed directly to the lining while medium ones may require additional suspension
