Knauf Aquapanel Exterior System
Knauf Exterior Wall System as a drywall is used in single stud or double stud structures with a variety of creative design options. It is commonly used in skeleton constructions comprising reinforced concrete, and also in timber or lightweight steel-frame constructions.
Knauf Exterior Wall System as a rear-ventilated rainscreen facade used on solid substructures such as brick or concrete, where thermal insulation is separated from the weather protection materials ensuring a constant flow of air in the ventilated space to remove moisture from the building and to optimise indoor climate.
Aquapanel Cement Board Exterior can be used to form a variety of curved shapes and designs, such as curved walls, domes and arches. And, by using double studs, it’s possible to create different interiors and exteriors -- a wall can be concave on the outside and convex on the inside. Knauf Aquapanel Exterior board offer unlimited scope for creative expression, as it is compatible with a variety of surface finishes, such as paint and renders, clinker bricks, tiles or glass elements and cladding systems.
The lightweight nature of Knauf Aquapanel Exterior system helps to deliver significant financial benefits, both in terms of construction costs and maintenance costs. There is significantly less bearing load in both primary construction and foundation works. As a result, its construction can be executed much more cost-effectively and quickly. Also eliminates water waste, and faster deployment of other works.
Knauf Aquapanel Technology possess an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804. In addition, the system has a 50% less primary energy requirement during manufacture than conventional brickwork construction and the CO2 output in material production is 30% lower than brick and block construction. Additionally, it uses less energy and generates less CO2 during transportation, and less energy during construction.
