12mm Isocheck Impact Mat 300 - Acoustic Underlay
Isocheck Impact Mat 300 is an impact improvement system, designed for reducing sound transmission and improving acoustic performance of timber floor constructions and staircases, ideal for upgrades of stairs and under floor, due to the improved impact sound resistance. The system is used in new build, refurbishment and conversion applications, including listed buildings, able to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations, Approved Document E 2003 (including the subsequent amendments in 2004 and 2010). The product includes an Isopoli core and a 12mm tri-layer system, for improved airborne and impact sound resistance.
- Great acoustic properties,
- Ideal for impact sound reduction,
- Especially designed for timber floors and staircases,
- Able to meet values prescribed by the Approved Document E of the Building Regulations, when installed as part of a complete sound reduction system.
Isocheck Impact Mat 300 is applicable in new build, refurbishment and conversion applications, including listed buildings where minimal structural change is of importance, to be used in timber floors and staircases.
- the products should be fixed between the carpet or timber floor and sub-floor,
- the sub-floor must be dry, clean and smooth,
- any floor coverings must be removed,
- all timber floorboards must be securely fixed and evened,
- concrete floor must be free of any gaps or holes which can be properly filed with some type mortar or silicone sealant,
- any doors opened into the room must be removed.
The mat is rolled directly onto the sub-floor surface, so that it covers the entire area and turned or butted up at all perimeter walls. If the mat is installed on top of the finished floor, the skirting must be removed and replaced, while when installed on top of a carpet, the mat should go all the way through to the gripper rail edge.
The mat should be bonded to the sub-floor surface by using the adequate adhesive, while the adjoining edges should be butted to the walls with building tape. The mat must be properly protected from any type of potential mechanical damage whereas timber and vinyl coverings and carpets can be laid directly on the mat, but solid timber flooring should be pinned to min 12mm plywood.
The product is in compliance with Approved Document E of the Building Regulations.
