Slabs and Batts
Slabs and Batts are used for general, thermal and acoustic purposes mainly in internal partitions between timber and metal studs, rafters and floor joists as well as ‘cavity’ insulation in less demanding environments like residential properties and offices and come in a range of density and thickness (100mm, 150mm, and 200mm).
Slabs and Batts are made from highly sustainable material like Glass mineral wool which in 80 percent contains the same material used in production of bottles and windows, as well as Rock mineral wool which is obtained from volcanic rock making the product highly environmentally friendly. Slabs and Batts pose no harm to ozone sphere with its content and do not represent any known threat to the environment.
Both products do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.
Rock mineral wool slabs are scientifically designed to resist heavy loads while maintaining thermal, acoustic and fire performance benefits and are engineered for installation by friction fitting (RockFlexi). These are particularly suitable for insulating converted lofts and other non-industrial constructions where heavy load resistance is needed. Glass mineral wool slabs have general purpose and can be used in applications where no heavy load resistance is needed.
