EWI-040 Silicone Silicate Render 1mm grain - 25kg Tub - Various Colours

EWI-040 Silicone Silicate Render is a very flexible, highly breathable and resistant to mechanical impact and UV rays silicone enhanced render that will form a long lasting, aesthetically-pleasing protective barrier on the external surface of your building. EWI-240 Silicone Silicate Render has excellent water and frost resistance and has excellent self-cleaning properties. It is through-coloured and can be tinted to a range of colours. EWI-040 is available in 32 ready-made colours.

EWI-040 Silicone silicate render should be installed on top of the reinforced basecoat layer to ensure the system is durable and will withstand cracking during any movements within the underlying substrate. This mineral render can be used as a render only finish or on either EPS or mineral wool.

2mm grain is also available but there is an extended lead time.

• Prime the basecoat layer with EWI-333 Silicone Silicate Primer with a brush, a roller or a spray machine.
• If you want to create a different colour add pigments to pure white Silicone Silicate Render and mix thoroughly, or order a desired colour.
• Do not thin the render with water or any other products.
• Apply with a stainless-steel trowel to the substrate surface. The optimal thickness of the render is equal to the grain size.
  
• Rub up the surface of the render using circular motions with a plastic render float to achieve an even textured finish.
  
• Allow the render to dry completely before applying Silicone paint. The average drying time for the Silicone Silicate render is 12-48 hours depending on weather conditions.
• Work must be protected from rain, snow, strong winds and direct sunlight.
