How to apply

• Make sure the wall or ceiling surface you're working on is clean, dry, and sound. Remove any loose bits of plaster, wallpaper, or flaking paint. If there's any mould, treat it with a suitable mould remover and let it dry completely.
• You'll need a pasting brush or a roller, a bucket or tray for the adhesive, and possibly a smoothing tool (like a broad knife or a seam roller) to ensure good contact.
• Apply the adhesive evenly to the back of the Wallrock Dampstop Thermic Base lining paper. Make sure you cover the entire surface, paying particular attention to the edges. Don't overload it, but ensure a good, consistent coating.
• Pour some adhesive into your tray. Dip the roller into the adhesive, ensuring it's evenly coated. Then, apply the adhesive to the back of the lining paper in even strokes, again making sure the whole surface is covered.
• Once the adhesive is applied, carefully offer up the Dampstop Thermic lining paper to the wall or ceiling. Align it as needed and then gently smooth it down using your hands or a smoothing tool. Work from the centre outwards to avoid trapping air bubbles.
• When hanging subsequent lengths of the lining paper, make sure the edges butt up neatly against each other without overlapping. Use a seam roller to ensure a tight join.
• If any adhesive gets onto the surface of the lining paper, wipe it away immediately with a clean, damp sponge or cloth.
• Let the adhesive dry completely according to the instructions on the adhesive packaging before attempting to paint or wallpaper over the Wallrock Dampstop Thermic lining paper. This drying time can vary depending on room temperature and humidity.
