Ceresit CT100 Impactum - Highly Flexible Dispersion Reinforcing Compound for Expanded Polystyrene
Ceresit CT100 Impactum is a reliable and efficient solution for creating a reinforced layer with glass fibre mesh on expanded polystyrene boards, providing additional strength and flexibility for your construction or renovation project. Its compatibility with a wide range of surfaces and its environmentally friendly formulation make it an even more versatile and high-performance choice for your insulation needs. This product is ideal for use in construction and renovation projects where additional reinforcement is required, such as in areas with high foot traffic or where mechanical stress is expected. Ceresit CT100 Impactum has a more malleable, light, and homogeneous consistency, making it easy to apply and ensuring a uniform bond.
Approximate consumption:
- reinforced layer on polystyrene foam with single mesh: about 2.5÷3.0 kg/m2
- reinforced layer on polystyrene foam with double mesh: about 3.0÷3.5 kg/m2
- reinforced layer on polystyrene foam with reinforced and regular mesh: about 3.0÷3.5 kg/m2
- blinding layer: about 1.0 kg/m2

- Ensure that the surface to be bonded is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants such as dust, oil, or grease. Remove any old adhesive or loose material from the surface.
- Mix the contents of the Ceresit CT100 Impactum bag with water according to the manufacturer's instructions. Typically, this involves adding the recommended amount of water to a clean container and gradually adding the powder while mixing until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. If desired, add Ceresit pigments to tint the compound.
- Apply the mixed reinforcing compound to the surface using a notched trowel, ensuring an even layer of compound is applied.
- Lay the glass fibre mesh onto the wet compound, ensuring good contact between the mesh and the compound. Use a brush or roller to remove any air pockets and ensure a uniform bond.
- Allow the reinforcing compound to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions. The recommended curing time depends on various factors, such as temperature and humidity.
