INSTALLATION

• Prepare the surface: Remove old wallpaper and any loose paint.
• Prime absorbent surfaces: Treat ultra-absorbent, chalky, or sandy base surfaces with Hydrosol primer.
• Fill imperfections: Use System Adhesive SR 6 to fill cracks, chipped areas, and significantly uneven surfaces.
• Cut the panels: Use a saw to cut the interior insulation panels to the required size.
• Create socket openings: Use a hole cutter to make openings for sockets before fitting the panels, incorporating back-boxes if necessary.
• Install sound insulation strips: Fit a strip around window joints and all movable elements, such as floating screed and windows.
• Apply adhesive: Spread adhesive evenly over the entire surface of the insulation panels using a toothed trowel or comb (minimum toothing of 10mm).
• Fix the panels: Press the panels onto the wall with moderate pressure, placing them slightly offset (non-woven side against the wall).
• Avoid cross joints: Ensure panels do not meet at cross joints and leave no gaps. Remove any excess adhesive from the edges.
• Seal joints: Fill joints level with ERFURT KlimaTec SR 6 system adhesive. Use crack repair tape for reinforcement or apply full-surface reinforcement if using wall coverings that do not conceal cracks, such as paper wallpapers.
• Prime the surface: Once installed, prime the insulated surface with Hydrosol base primer before further decoration.
