160mm Cellecta Hexatherm XPOOis a specially designed closed cell extruded polystyrene board, ideal for swimming pool bases and retaining walls, due to its high comprehensive strength, which allows it to withstand imposed long-term static load. Its extremely low water absorption allows it to be installed below the concrete slab, without installing a damp proof membrane. The board is completely recyclable and highly environmentally friendly. The board is perfect for high humidity areas, and also has great thermal performance, making it a perfect insulator. Cellecta Hexatherm XPOOL is CE marked and in compliance with the Code for Sustainable Homes.

APPLICATION

Cellecta Hexatherm XPOOL is applicable to insulation of swimming pool  bases and retaining walls.

 

INSTALLATION

XPOOL boards are installed below the concrete slab and behind retaining walls. Please note that the swimming pool construction needs to be in compliance with the Part L of the Building Regulations, i.e. reach the U value of 0,25 W/m2k, calculated in accordance with the EN ISO13370: 1998.

The construction includes a few separate layers installed in a specific order. If you are dealing with in-situ ground bearing concrete floor slab and walls the insulation board is installed beneath the concrete floor and retaining walls, followed by waterproof render, backfill, pool linear or ceramic tiles and sand blinding. 

When dealing with in-situ ground bearing concrete floor slab and concrete block walls, the insulation board is followed by twin skin concrete block wall, waterproof render, backfill, in-situ concrete floor, pool linear or ceramic tiles and sand blinding.
