12.5mm Gyproc Habito High-Strength Plasterboard - 1200mm x 2500mm
12.5mm Gyproc Habito plasterboard features an engineered gypsum core with calcium sulphate dihydrate encased in paper liners. This core which provides enhanced levels of strength, durability and fixability. It provides more strength than standard plasterboard A 5mm (no. 10) wood screw in this plasterboard is capable of supporting 15kg without the need for specialist fixings or a pattress. This additional durability means walls are more resistant to damage and stay looking smarter for longer. You can fix heavy and difficult items such as shelves, curtain poles and TVs, into place without any need for drills or specialist fixings. The strength of the Gyproc Habito board allows to simply screw straight into the wall surface, making it ideal for residential properties. Natural constituents of the core may include minor amounts of quartz. Small quantities of chopped glass fibre may be added with starch, foam and dispersants.

APPLICATION
Designed for use in wall and partitions, where greater levels of impact/duty and fixing capability are required.
INSTALLATION
- The tapered edges are taped and filled joints using Gyproc jointing materials. Gyproc jointing materials produce a smooth, continuous, crack-resistant surface ready for priming and final decoration.
- The ivory face of Gyproc Habito can be plastered with either Thistle BoardFinish, Thistle MultiFinish, Thistle DuraFinish or Thistle SprayFinish plasters.
- There should be the minimum of delay between completion of the lining and the commencement of plastering.
- After the plaster finish or joint treatment has dried, decoration, including any preparatory work, should follow with minimum delay.
PRECAUTIONS
Gyproc Habito is unsuitable for use in areas subject to continuously damp or humid conditions (above 70% RH) and must not be used to isolate dampness. Boards are not suitable for use in temperatures above 49C but can be subjected to freezing conditions without risk of damage.
