50mm Kingspan Thermaroof TR24 is a rigid insulation board used for flat roof insulation, consisting of a rigid thermoset insulation core, covered with a glass tissue coated with bitumen. Its upper surface is finished with a thermo fusible polypropylene fleece, while the lower surface is covered with mineralized glass tissue. When the product is installed, the flat roof fall should be steep enough and smooth to avoid rainwater pools. It is especially designed to work with most fully bonded torch applied multi-layer bituminous waterproofing. It is applicable in both new build and refurbishment projects, though it should be installed over a vapor control layer (unless used jointly with sealed metal deck) in new build projects while existing bituminous waterproofing membrane can be used as a vapor control layer, if not, this layer should also be added in refurbishment projects.

APPLICATION

Kingspan Thermaroof TR24 is used for insulating flat roofs waterproofed with fully bonded torch applied multi-layer bituminous waterproofing, including installing it over:
  • concrete decks
  • metal decks
  • existing flat roofs
  • 8-12 Suretwist fixings are needed per 1200x2400mm board depending on joist spacing for mechanical fixing.
